Elmira: A 22-year-old woman who worked with students in an upstate New York school program has been arrested after allegedly sending nude photos to a 14-year-old boy, the Chemung County Sheriff’s Office confirmed this week.
The accused, Anamaria Milazzo, was employed as a teaching assistant at Greater Southern Tier BOCES (Board of Cooperative Educational Services) when the alleged incident came to light. According to police, a school resource officer first received the report on June 9, which led to a formal investigation. Authorities say Milazzo had been sending the images over a three-month period.
Following the investigation, Milazzo was arrested and charged with:
- Second-degree disseminating indecent material to minors (a felony), and
- Endangering the welfare of a child (a misdemeanor).
Law enforcement officials stated that Milazzo was issued an appearance ticket and released from custody. She is scheduled to appear in Wellsburg Village Court at a later date.

The school district has since confirmed that Milazzo is no longer employed. Officials did not specify which campus she worked at within the BOCES system but stated in a public response that the safety of their students remains their top priority.
“The allegations are deeply troubling,” one parent of a BOCES student told ZizzPost. “We trust the people working with our children — and when that trust is broken, it shakes the whole community.”
As of now, the investigation remains ongoing. Law enforcement has not released further details about the nature of the digital communication or whether additional charges may be filed.
