New York: What started as a festive Fourth of July weekend turned into a nightmare for thousands in Texas Hill Country, as relentless storms dumped over 15 inches of rain across Kerr County and surrounding areas. The Guadalupe River surged more than 26 feet in just 45 minutes, sweeping through camps, neighborhoods, and roads—leaving behind destruction, grief, and a desperate search for the missing.

Among the hardest hit was Camp Mystic, a girls’ summer camp where 750 children were in session. As of July 8, at least 104 people have died, including dozens of children, and 11 remain missing, including a camp counselor. Families, first responders, and volunteers are grappling with overwhelming loss—and for many, the floodwaters haven’t even receded yet.

But here’s the thing: you can help. Whether it’s donating money, supplies, or time, your action today can offer real relief to survivors, rescue teams, displaced pets, and communities mourning their loved ones. Below, you’ll find verified, impactful ways to help those affected by the Texas floods.

Among the lives lost are twin sisters, camp counselors, and generations of families who spent holidays along the Guadalupe River. Some were sleeping when the waters arrived. Others were rescued in the nick of time by strangers.

Your help could mean a meal, a shelter, a reunion—or simply the support to begin again. Every donation, no matter how small, makes a difference.
