Los Angeles: CBS has announced the full cast for Big Brother Season 27 ahead of its 90-minute premiere on Thursday, July 10, at 8 p.m. ET/PT. The network also confirmed the theme for the 2025 summer season: “Big Brother: A Summer of Mystery,” promising secret alliances, a masked visitor, and a yet-to-be-named “Mystery Houseguest.”
The new season features 16 contestants from across the United States, including a bull rider from Oklahoma, an aura reader from New York, and a Dungeon Master-turned-nutritionist from Texas. CBS said this year’s installment will feature new elements, including a secret accomplice and surprise gameplay interventions from an unnamed masked visitor. The network said the twists are designed to push social dynamics and strategic play to new extremes.

Big Brother 27 Premiere, Broadcast Schedule, and Streaming
Big Brother 27 will air three times a week on CBS following its premiere: Sundays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Paramount+ with Showtime subscribers will have access to 24/7 live feeds, while Pluto TV will stream select live moments.
The show, hosted by Julie Chen Moonves, will continue through the summer with a grand prize of $750,000 for the winner. Season 27 marks over two decades of the U.S. edition of Big Brother, which first premiered in July 2000.
Mystery Houseguest to Be Revealed Post-Premiere
CBS has kept details of the 17th houseguest under wraps, referring to them only as a “Mystery Houseguest.” The network has not confirmed whether the contestant will be a returning player, a celebrity, or someone with a personal connection to the cast.
Producers hinted that the secret identity will be revealed after the initial group enters the house on July 10. The role of the masked visitor and secret accomplice is also expected to be clarified in the opening week.
A Summer of Strategy, Secrets, and Surveillance
This year’s “Summer of Mystery” theme is a departure from previous seasons that centered around festivals, multiverse storylines, or celebrity tie-ins. CBS is banking on unpredictability and suspense to keep viewers engaged.
The series remains one of the longest-running reality competition shows in U.S. television history and continues to perform strongly in summer ratings.
