Atlanta: Chick-fil-A is bringing back its fan-favorite “Code Moo” game for a third consecutive summer, giving customers the chance to win free food—including waffle fries, nuggets, and cookies—by playing a digital game on the Chick-fil-A app starting July 15.
The interactive promotion features the return of the brand’s beloved bovine mascots—Sarge, Daisy, and Carrots—who go undercover to infiltrate a fictional rival fast-food chain, Circus Burger, in a series of animated missions released weekly.
“The Cows have been a much-loved part of Chick-fil-A’s story for nearly 30 years, and we enjoy finding new ways to celebrate them along with our Guests,” said Dustin Britt, executive director of brand strategy at Chick-fil-A.
“This year, we’re inviting fans to experience the Cows in fun, new ways—from digital games to short films, podcasts and limited-time merch—it’s a summer celebration with something for all ages,” Britt added.

How to Get Free Chick-fil-A on July 15 and Beyond
The Code Moo game is open to anyone enrolled in Chick-fil-A One, the restaurant’s free membership and rewards program. Starting July 15, players can unlock free menu items by completing weekly missions within the app. Rewards include:
- Free medium waffle fries
- Free chocolate chunk cookie
- Free five-count Chick-fil-A nuggets
New missions will go live every Tuesday through August 4, 2025. Players must use the main Chick-fil-A app, as food rewards are not available through the Chick-fil-A Play app.
What Is Code Moo and Why Is Everyone Talking About It?
First launched in 2023, Code Moo quickly became one of Chick-fil-A’s most popular digital promotions. Last year alone, the chain issued over 2.5 million free food rewards during the campaign. Players also had a chance to win free Chick-fil-A for a year.
This year’s game takes players through a storyline where the cows attempt to sabotage Circus Burger in classic, family-friendly mischief. The franchise has also added several complementary experiences:
- An animated short film titled “Udder Chaos”, available in the Chick-fil-A Play app and on YouTube
- A series of mini-podcasts called “Cow Tales”
- A fresh Cow Collection merch drop featuring items like bucket hats, pickleball sets, and more
Where to Redeem Free Food from Chick-fil-A’s Code Moo Game
Food rewards earned through the game can be redeemed at participating Chick-fil-A locations nationwide, including:
- 87 restaurants in Ohio, with 12 in Cincinnati and 8 in Columbus
- Multiple locations across Texas, Georgia, Florida, and California
To claim a reward, users must download the Chick-fil-A app, sign into their Chick-fil-A One account, and complete the weekly Code Moo mission. Rewards are added directly to the app once a mission is completed.
