Washington: Fox News senior White House correspondent Jacqui Heinrich is engaged to U.S. Representative Brian Fitzpatrick, a Republican from Pennsylvania, the couple confirmed this week.
Fitzpatrick, 51, proposed to Heinrich, 36, on June 29 during a private trip to southern France, Heinrich told People magazine. The proposal took place at sunrise in a lavender field in Valensole, a hilltop village in the Provence region.
The couple had traveled from Nice in the early hours to catch the sunrise. Fitzpatrick, who planned the proposal around Heinrich’s wish to see the region, arranged for a photographer and drone to capture the moment, according to the report. Heinrich described the proposal as “a memory that will be seared into my brain for life.”

Fitzpatrick selected an engagement ring from Heinrich’s family jeweler in Portland, Maine. The ring features a brilliant-cut round diamond set in a platinum and yellow gold band.

Heinrich, who joined Fox News in 2018, also co-hosts The FOX News Rundown podcast. She said the couple began dating in 2021. Fitzpatrick, a former FBI agent and federal prosecutor, was first elected to Congress in 2016 and won his fifth term in 2024.
The couple plans to host a joint housewarming and engagement party following Heinrich’s recent home purchase. They are expected to hold a Catholic church wedding, though no date has been announced.
Fitzpatrick’s brief trip to France came during a legislative recess, as Congress debated a major bill ahead of the July 4 holiday.
