Milwaukee: Seven-year-old Jamal White, who was abducted at gunpoint outside his Milwaukee home on July 11, has been found safe, the Milwaukee Police Department has confirmed. White was reported kidnapped from 6200 West Hustis Street and placed into a white Jeep Renegade by an unknown suspect wearing a black face mask, prompting an Amber Alert and a citywide search.
Police did not immediately release further details about where or how Jamal White was found, but confirmed the child was safe and reunited with his family. The investigation into his abduction remains ongoing, and no arrests have been announced as of Saturday afternoon.

White, affectionately known as “Baby J,” was described by family as sweet, playful, and charismatic. “You wouldn’t think someone would do anything to a child,” said his cousin, Nikki Harrington. “I just want Baby J to come home.”

Community-Led Search and Amber Alert Timeline
The child’s disappearance had sparked widespread concern and action. On July 12, nearly 75 volunteers—many of them strangers—gathered at Carmen Park to search for the missing boy, handing out flyers and canvassing neighborhoods, wooded areas, and local businesses.
Surveillance video had reportedly captured White riding his bicycle moments before being taken.

The Amber Alert was issued the night of July 11 and drew criticism from community members over perceived delays. A $50,000 reward had been offered for Jamal’s safe return.
