Minneapolis: Paul McCartney will return to Minnesota for the first time in nearly a decade with a performance at U.S. Bank Stadium on October 17, 2025, as part of his extended Got Back tour, organizers announced Thursday.
The show marks one of 19 dates in McCartney’s newly revealed North American leg of the tour, which kicks off September 29 in Palm Desert, California. The former Beatle last played in Minnesota in 2016 at the Target Center.
McCartney, 83, teased the 2025 run earlier this week on social media, sharing an image of two guitar picks—one bearing his name, the other inscribed with “GOT BACK IN 2025.” The announcement of his Minneapolis appearance was made Thursday morning at U.S. Bank Stadium, where officials unveiled a custom No. 25 Minnesota Vikings jersey in his honor.
“This will be a historic concert by a truly global icon,” said Josh Lacey, Market President for Live Nation. U.S. Bank Stadium General Manager Shannon Kelly and Minnesota Vikings announcer Paul Allen were also present at the unveiling.

The stadium, which has previously hosted artists such as Metallica, Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran, is expected to be filled to capacity for what has been touted as one of the biggest concerts in the state’s history.
Presale registration for tickets is now open via McCartney’s official website. Presales begin Tuesday, July 15, at 10 a.m. local time, with general sales starting on Thursday, July 18.
McCartney’s Got Back tour originally launched in 2022 with 16 sold-out U.S. shows, later expanding to Australia, South America, Mexico and Europe. The upcoming dates mark his first full-scale North American return since then. His recent appearances at New York’s 500-capacity Bowery Ballroom drew widespread acclaim for their intimate setlists, which included Beatles classics, Wings staples and even “Now and Then,” the final Beatles song released in 2023.
Full North American tour dates include stops in Las Vegas, Denver, Atlanta, Nashville, Montreal and a two-night finale in Chicago on November 24–25.
