Meridian: Internet provider Sparklight confirmed a widespread internet outage across Treasure Valley on Thursday morning, with service disruptions reported in Boise, Nampa, and Eagle, Idaho, due to an HVAC system failure at its Nampa facility.
The city of Meridian first alerted residents to the issue via a Facebook post early Thursday. A company spokesperson later told KTVB that an “HVAC issue” at the Nampa site had affected critical equipment, resulting in a significant Sparklight internet outage.
According to Sparklight, the Nampa office has been temporarily closed as technicians assess the damage. The Boise office at 8400 Westpark Street remains open to assist customers.
